Why families choose us

Real trails. Real trust. Real growth.

Scouts BSA gives every Scout — girl or boy — a path from their first campout to Eagle. Troop 566 and Troop 2566 run parallel programs, share our outdoor calendar, and are both led entirely by youth, with adults there to guide, not run the show.

What Scouting builds

Four things every Scout leaves with

01

Outdoor skill

Backpacking, camping, climbing, water sports — Scouts plan and lead their own outings, rain or shine.

02

Leadership

Every patrol is run by Scouts. Younger members are mentored by older ones, all the way to Eagle.

03

Service

Troop 566 and 2566 Scouts give back to Saratoga through Eagle projects and community service.

04

Belonging

A patrol that sticks together for years — friendships that carry well past age 18.

“I joined as a shy sixth grader. Four years later I was leading my own patrol on a five-day trip I planned myself.”
